Large cache of weapons recovered

Police and law enforcement agencies Tuesday have ceased costly weapons, which were being smuggled from lawless area to Punjab and arrested two outlaws.
Police received a tip off that heavy amount of weapons are being smuggled in a van registration number (LES-9070). However police stopped the van near Khamida check post for checking and found 10 Repeater guns, 10 automatic Kalashinkov, 50 pistols, five Revolver and 3500 bullets and arrested two persons.
SHO Westridge Police Station, Malik Allah Yar told that both the lawbreakers, Gul Khan and Gul Zaman are from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and during interrogations they disclosed that the weapons were being transferred from KPK to various areas of Rawalpindi and Sahiwal.
SHO said they would be presented before the court for remand, afterward the interrogation would continue to probe that why these weapons were smuggled to Punjab and for whom.
During the interrogations the aspect of disrupting the law and order situation in Punjab and links with terrorist organizations would be kept in mind.
