Punjab Assembly Deputy Speaker Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said the government will hold the Punjab Youth Festival in the first week of June.
Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers on Monday, he said the festival would provide visitors an opportunity to witness competitions of Kabbadi, wrestling, cricket, hockey, football, handball, table tennis and martial arts. He said two percent of the budget of the district governments has been earmarked for the promotion of sports which would help expand sports activities in the 36 districts of the province. He maintained that the Punjab Youth Festival will be arranged at union council, tehsil, district, divisional and provincial levels under a phased-programme.
