Amar Cables on Sunday created history by winning the 14th National Veteran Senior Cricket Cup on Sunday.
It was Amar Cables fifth title on trot and their first National Veterans title. Amar Cables maintained its winning run on its debut in the National Veteran Senior Cricket Cup, all thanks for Amer Ilyas Butt, COO of Amar Cables. In the final they beat Omer Associate Karachi by 7 runs and won the trophy.
Playing at the LCCA Ground Lahore, Amar Cables batting first made 208/9 after 30 overs. Dastgeer Butt 76, Ameer Akbar 49, Amer Ilyas Butt 13 & Shahid Mansoor 15 runs. Omer Associate Karachi bowling Jafar Qureshi 2/43, Irfan Ali 3/37, Ahmad Hayyat 2/32, Muhammad Yousaf 1/33 & Saifullah 1/37 wickets. In reply Omer Associate Karachi 201 all out after 30 overs. Jafar Qureshi 71 & Irfan Ali 45 runs. Amar Cables bowling Muhammad Arif 2/27, Rouf Wain 2/23, Tariq Hussain 1/27 & Dastgeer Butt 1/18 wickets.

At the end of the match, chief guest former chairman PCB Khalid Mehmood gae away the winner trophy and Rs 150,000 to Amar Cables’ Captain Ameer Akbar, Runner Up Trophy & Rs. 75,000/- Omer Associate Karachi’s Captain Jafar Qureshi & Jointly man of the match award to Muhammad Arif & Dastgeer Butt.
