Punjab People’s Youth Organisation on Saturday held a rally to express solidarity with President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani. The rally led by Punjab PYO President Mian Ayub started from the Railway Station and concluded at the GPO Chowk. The PYO president while addressing the rally said hat the Punjab chief minister should know that the PPP youth had come to streets for democracy in the country. He said the PPP always respected courts decision and it always followed the constitution. He said Shaheed Benzair Bhutto gave missile technology to the country for strengthening its defence, adding that President Asif Ali Zardari was taking all-out measures for the welfare of the people. He said the PPP restored the constitution in its true form said Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari had come to power with the support of the people. He said the PPP brought the NFC award, passed the 18th amendment and give due rights to labourers. He said the Sharif brothers wanted to destabilise the PPP-led government but the youth was against policies of the Punjab government. PPP Punjab General Secretary Azizur Rehman Chan, speaking on the occasion, said the rally was just a beginning, adding the PPP would take out another with full spirit. He said the government would complete its term and elections would be held on time.
