PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain warned the government on Friday that if his proposal given for resolving the issue of load shedding was not implemented, his party would devise its future course of action in this regard. Talking to a private TV channel, he said his party would support the people instead of the government over the load shedding issue.
He said after consultation with experts, he had given a proposal for ending power load shedding from the country, but it was politicized, adding that load shedding could be ended if his proposal was implemented. He said the PML-Q had been raising the load shedding issue in the Senate and would discuss the issue with Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani when he returned from the UK, adding that if the PM rejected his proposal, his party would not be responsible for increasing load shedding in the country and they would devise a future strategy regarding coalition with the government. He reiterated that the politicians who participated in the public rally against load shedding should not demand extra money under the NFC, so that the amount could be paid to the IPPs for generating electricity.

Shujaat is a crook. It is to put pressure to save Moonis Ellahi and nothing else. Just rewind and analyse why did they join hands with PPP in the first instance!
