Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan has announced that the JI will observe a National Tragedy Day on Saturday in memory of the Karachi carnage of 12th May, 2007.
In this connection, a national conference titled ‘12th May Incident-A Result of the Reconciliation Policy 2007, Target Killing and Restoration of Peace in Karachi’, will also be held under the JI umbrella.
The conference will be held at the Regent Plaza, Sharah-e-Faisal, Karachi. Syed Munawar Hasan will preside over the conference. The leaders of different political and religious parties, intellectuals, journalists and people from all walks of life are expected to take part in the conference.
