Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif must not torch government and public property and should better concentrate on improving his poor governance in the province, PPP Punjab President Chaudhary Imtiaz Safdar Warriach said Friday.
Talking to media persons outside Parliament House, he said people are loosing their lives in Punjab with dengue, spurious medicine and their Chief Minister is busy in point scoring. Billions of rupees squandered on purchasing substandard laptops should have better invested in establishing new power production units to resolve the issue of load-shedding from the province at least, he said.
As per eighteenth amendment – the provinces have already been allowed to establish power production units in their respective areas. Shahbaz Sharif must tell the people how many power production units have been set up by the Punjab government during the last two and a half years.
The government has already produced 3300 mw power in the system, he added.
