The Motorway traffic police officials, on Thursday, tendered an apology at the Lahore High Court (LHC) over LHC Justice Mamun-ur-Rashid’s vehicle challan case.
LHC Justice Mamun-ur-Rashid was travelling to Lahore from Multan when the Motorway traffic police stopped his vehicle at Khanewal.
The justice introduced himself as a LHC judge to the police but they challaned his vehicle due to over speeding.
The LHC summoned the traffic police and other officials concerned to the court. They sought apologies, which the court accepted.
The traffic police told media persons that monitoring cameras showed the judge’s vehicle over speeding, after which they challaned the vehicle, but the LHC summoned them over the issue.
