Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry Friday said the court will task the Corp Commander to recover the missing persons, in case Inspector General of the FC keeps on shunning the court orders.
Heading a two-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC) hearing a case of law and order situation in Balochistan and missing persons, the CJP expressed displeasure over the absence of Frontier Constabulary Balochistan Inspector General (IG) Major General Nadir Zaib in the hearing, a private TV channel reported.
The Chief Justice Chaudhry queried as to why the three missing persons were not produced before the bench despite the court orders, adding the court will issue an order against the IG FC if he considers himself above the court.
The CJP remarked the court is not desirous to see the FC chief? It only wants to know if the FC is going to produce the missing persons or not? Further adding there are evidences regarding the FC’s involvmlent in picking up people.
The CJ further said the CCTV footages of a private hotel will lay bare the fact.
Attorney General Balochistan pleaded the court to give time till Monday for IG FC and IG Police to appear before the court.
The Chief Justice Chaudhry noted the two high-up officers will be granted time if they assure the bench of producing the missing persons, adding if they keep on lifting the people, it will invite a big slur.
“Which is greater institution than the court?” The displeased CJP remarked that the court cannot accept the presence of Major Sohail to represent the FC.
He added the families of the missing persons pinpointed the FC; if it shirks abiding by the court order, then Corps Commander will be sought to do the needful.

  1. Chief…. No need to fear anyone except Allah. This temporary life will end soon and what we do will leave the mark of our person on the pages of history. You are the only hope to save Pakistan…Keep it Allah may Allah guide you.

  2. There is a good chance that the Inspector General of FC has also gone missing. In fact the Apex court knows very well the people responsible for the disappearance of politically active elements in Balochistan. Everyone knows but no one can say it openly. Let the case of everyone missing person be taken up by the court of Law. A society without law cannot survive for long.

  3. Why doesn't the judiciary also act on the cases of the hundreds of punjabi civilians deliberately murdered in balochistan by the baloch terrorist groups only because those civilians were punjabis. All the outrage, protests and rallies are for the baloch missing where are the rallies for the punjabi civilians murdered by the baloch militants?
Why no suo motu over their racist murders? Is justice in pakistan only available for the non-punjabis?

    • Ali, you are right. But the Bloach missing persons are suffering from crimes comitted on the behalf of state. Individual or organized crimes are also condemnable. We have no sympathy for anti Pakistan and anti state elements but every thing should be done in the domain of law. Agencies should pick the criminals with supporting evidences and flaws in our prosecution system should be removed. Only authority to punish someone is court of law and nobody else.
