ISI, CIA help led to Al-Qaeda targets: PM

Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that high-value targets of Al-Qaeda were achieved with the cooperation of ISI and CIA.
In an interview to British TV, PM Gilani said Pakistan wanted political solution of Afghanistan. Afghan people should have the right to decide their own fate, he added.
Gilani said as per the Pakistani rule of law, foreigners cannot move freely in the country without the permission of the interior ministry. The prime minister added Pakistan did not want to restrict relations to the US only.
Later, Gilani and British Defence Secretary Philip Hanmmond discussed several issues including Afghanistan situation and joint efforts for peace and cooperation in defence sector. While enhancement of present cooperation in defence sector between both countries was discussed during the meeting.
He said Pakistan wanted a peaceful and stable Afghanistan and political reconciliation there. He said further that talks were being held with positive gestures regarding resumption of NATO supply.
He said that military action was not a solution to any problem while Pakistan would not accept any additional condition.
The British Defence Secretary Philip Hanmmond said that Taliban should leave weapons and come to the dialogue.
