Euphoria front-man Palash Sen sparked off a controversy the past week by claiming that the chorus of the song in Aamir Khan’s television debut show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is exactly the same as the chants in his song, which incidentally was also named Satyameva Jayate, from his second album ‘Phir Dhoom’. Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ was also dragged into controversy when writer Muazzam Beg accused the director of ‘stealing’ his story. He claimed that he had written ‘Rockstar’s story out of his personal experiences. Beg had said that he had narrated it to Imtiaz when he was with Mukta Arts in 2005 shortly after Ali’s directorial debut ‘Socha Na Tha’ released. Former actress and author Seema Seth had alleged that Madhur Bhandarkar stole the concept of his film ‘Fashion’ from her book ‘El Dorado’. Seth went to court and demanded Rs 2.5 crore. Television producer-writer Yash Patnaik and writer Mushtaq got into a row of sorts over ‘Ra.One’s story. Patnaik had claimed that the much-hyped ‘Ra.One’ was his idea and the High Court had directed Shah Rukh Khan to deposit Rs 10 million as a pay-order to the court before the release of the film. Music composer Ram Sampath had filed a case against filmmaker Rakesh Roshan and music director, Rajesh Roshan, stating that he was not given due credit for ‘Krazzy 4’s music. He had sought legal action and filed a case of copyright infringement.
