National Highways & Motorway police recovered three stolen cars and arrested a car lifter with arms and ammunition and also recovered an abducted person who was kidnapped from Sialkot.
Motorway Police were informed that a white colour carry van No LEDB-9539, model 2009 has been stolen from Sialkot. The Motorway police alerted all its patrolling officers and NH&MP officers SPO Jawad Haider and PO Sabir stopped the said carry van through commando action on GT Road near Gujrat and arrested car lifter Tahir s/o Ghulam Hussain r/o Sialkot.
During surprise checking on GT Road near Patoki special squad of NH&MP officers SPO Abul Hasnaat and SPO Raza Muhammad Akram signaled to stop a suspicious corolla car No FD-660. But instead of stopping the driver of the car increase the speed of the car try to flee away, due to overspeeding the car hita truck from back and front screen of the car was broken.
When NH&MP officers reached there for help the two people who were traveling in the said car fled away by taking the advantage of darkness of night. NH&MP officers took the car in their possession,and on search of the car, one SMG/AK47, two magazines along with 30 cartridges, one magazine 9MM pistol along with eight cartridges and two fake number plates were found from the car. In another incident, a citizen informed Motorway Police through NH&MP Helpline (130) that three armed persons have snatch a black colour Corolla car No LED-6117 on gunpoint from the area of Model Town Police Station, Gujaranwala.On this information the Motorway police alerted all its patrolling officers. The NH&MP officers SPO Khurram Shazad and SPO Abdur Razaq started checking the car on GT road near Muridkay, when the car lifters reached there, they saw Police Barrier they stopped the car there and fled away by taking the advantage of darkness of night.
The NH&MP officers approached and took the car in to their possession.On search of the car, a man Munir Ahmed r/o Sialkot was also recovered who was tied with ropes. He informed that three unknown robbers were kidnapped him along with his car and were going to unknown place but rescued here by NH&MP, who was latter on handed over to his family.
The Motorway police informed the local police about all these incidents and later handed over the arrested the car lifter along with the recovered vehicles and arms and ammunition in the presence of the owners of the vehicles to the local police for further legal action.
