Policeman killed in Quetta blast

A remote-controlled blast hit a police mobile at Sariab Road here, killing a policeman and wounding three others.
Officials said the blast took place in Lango Abad of Sariab Road area in strife-hit capital of Balochistan.
“Four policemen of a patrolling team were perfuming their duty when a blast hit their vehicle,” an official said.
He said the blast critically wounded the policemen, and one of them later died in the hospital during the treatment.
Police and security forces rushed to the area, cordoning off the site to collect evidence.
Sources said the blast was caused by a remote-controlled device planted by the terrorists at roadside, targeting vehicles of police and security forces.
Earlier, a similar blast hit a vehicle of security forces in outskirts of Peshawar where casualties could not immediately be confirmed.
Officials said the explosion occurred in Bazid Khail area near Badaber, 24 km from Peshawar, when a vehicle of security troops was passing through the area.
