The Physics part-II Intermediate (Annual) Examination, 2012 was conducted under strict invigilation at 507 examination centres that fall under the Lahore Board.
BISE Lahore Controller of Examinations Anwar Faroor paid a surprise visit to Examination Centre L-64 at the Punjab College of Commerce for Women, Muslim Town, where he found Centre Superintendent Sana Khan invigilating the exam.
While talking to Faroor, the superintendent could not prove her identity as a teacher eligible to invigilate the exam.
It was later learned that she had submitted fake duty performa, in connivance with Board Clerk Mansoor Ajmal.
The examination controller lodged an FIR against the culprit at the Muslim Town police station on account of forgery.
BISE Chairman Muhammad Nasrullah Virk immediately suspended Clerk Mansoor Ajmal.
The chairman also constituted a two-member committee comprising Muhammad Iqbal and Rafaqat Ali, who also serve as the board’s members, and directed them to submit a report about the incident.
The BISE chairman also directed all mobile inspectors to ensure strict invigilation and take necessary action against the student or teachers found cheating in the exams.
