Water shortage hits several RCB areas

Water shortage in Aslam Shaheed Road, Line No 4, Raja Akram Colony, Lalazar Rawalpindi, Dhoke Juma, Dhoke Kalhore and other localities of Cantonment Board Rawalpindi is creating inconvenience and problems for residents of the areas.
Talking to this news agency here the residents of cantt areas including Muhammad Yaqoob Qureshi, Muhammad Ishtiaq Qureshi, Haji Ghulam Mustafa, Qurban Hussain, Tahir Qureshi, Tahir Javed, Muhammad Saleem, Qazi, Malik Tariq and others complained against the water shortage. They said they are facing great difficulties due to water shortage. The resident said water has not been supplied to their areas for the last few days and the Department of Water Supply was playing a role of silent spectator. The residents further informed that they are compelled to purchase water tankers at exorbitant rates due to water shortage.
They demanded from the authorities concerned to take notice of the situation and solid steps should be taken for the regular supply of water to the residents.
Two dacoit gangs busted; 11 outlaws arrested: Wah Cantt Police have busted two gangs of dacoits and arrested their 11 members from various areas of the city besides recovering one Suzuki Carry, one Toyota Hiace, one Laptop, five snatched mobile phones, 11 pistols and cash 0.9 million rupees.
Station House Officer, Saddar Wah Malik Muhammad Khan told APP that on the special instructions of City Police Officer Azhar Hameed Khokhar, Taxila police under the supervision of DSP Taxila Raja Tafoor Akhtar constituted special raiding teams.
After hectic efforts Wah Saddar police traced out two gangs of criminals identified as Intikhab Shah gang and Rehman Gul gang who were involved in a number of crimes. The arrested persons have confessed their 35 crimes including one blind murder case. He said Shah gang was busted as its ring leader Intikhab Shah resident of Abbottabad, Zaheer Abbas Shah alias Khurram Shah resident of Hassanabadal district Attock, Muhammad Ashaq resident of Mansehra, Iftikhar Ahmed resident of Taxila, Zainulabideen resident of Abbottabad while Rehman Gul gang’s members namely Rehman Gul resident of Shabkadar, Niaz Ali resident of Charsada, Noor resident of Peshawar were also nabbed and sent behind the bars.
The members of both the gangs were involved in a number of cases in which the citizens were deprived of their valuables. The criminals during interrogation told that they have committed crimes in 35 cases of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Hassanabad, Hazara road and Nowshera including one blind murder case which was registered in Wah Cantt Police Station. He said CPO Azhar Hameed Khokhar has assigned the task to the police officials concerned to curb activities of mischievous elements through high vigilance and effective policing. Following these directions, strict patrolling is being maintained in the city and police busted two gangs.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway.
