Nawaz ropes in a Bhutto to thwart ‘threat to democracy’

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said democracy in Pakistan was at risk because a convicted prime minister was holding on to rule the country.
The PML-N chief was addressing a rally organised here in connection with the merger of Sindh National Front (SNF) into the PML-N, after SNF Chairman Mumtaz Bhutto announced to join hands with Nawaz Sharif.
Nawaz said that a convicted man could not serve as the prime minister of any country in the world. He said the Supreme Court had convicted Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani because he was adamant in implementing court orders, however Gilani was continuing to rule despite his conviction. He said that President Asif Ali Zardari had been unfaithful to the people of Sindh and brought the country to the brink of destruction.
Nawaz said the people suspected of Benazir Bhutto’s murder had gathered around Zardari, adding that the PPP had violated the Charter of Democracy signed by the deceased PPP leader. Nawaz said that the common man was suffering due to bad governance by the current government, yet the PPP leaders were enjoying the rule without showing any concern for the people of the country. He said the PPP and Zardari had cashed in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, and did nothing to address the miseries of the people. The PML-N chief vowed that he would bring the killers of Benazir Bhutto to book. Addressing the rally, Mumtaz Bhutto said that Nawaz Sharif’s point of view was similar to his. “Now we are the members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, and will continue our struggle from the new platform,” Bhutto said. Bhutto said that he had been falsely labelled as a Sindhi nationalist contrary to his strong support for the federation.

    Mid-70s. Mumtaz Bhotto Chief Minister of Sindh, and Ghulam Mustafa Khar in Punjab. Almost every week-end a heroin from Lahore Film Industry would dis-appear, and end-up at Rato Dero (Larkana) residence of Mumtaz Bhutto. Some of these actresses would later admit their kidnapping and other keep quite for their name-sake.
    As an inspiration, awami poet (Late) Habeeb Jaleb wrote his famous poem: لاڑکانے چلو ، ورنہ تھانے چلو
    I wonder if Mumtaz is developing friendship with Shareffs of Lahore with the same intentions.

  3. Imran begged Mumtaz to join him but he refused. Now he is enemy number one.At least you guys should have a courtesy to accept your failure.

    Do not go to personal attacks…otherwise Imran is the worst person on this terrain.

    • Dont say this my friend. Your leader nawaz shareef is no better than Imran. Nawaz shareef is a dishonest person and a corrupt politician. He has damaged this country as much as any other ruler. Now he is under immense pressure from the King Khan and is running here and there looking for his survival. But rest assured, shareef brothers are sinking and sinking fast. They are sinking under thier own weight and the weight thrown upon them by Imran Khan.
      The time is turning and turning fast. Shareef brothers are losing and losing fast. Their demise is on cards and for them, the writing is on thewalls.

      • You r quite right in that. Indeed people will forget Zardari corruption if Nawaz is brought back. Look at his past record. Noone in world history attacked SC with stormy procession and destroyed SC chambers like PMLN during judiciary-Nawaz crisis in 1997. PMLN evolved from corruption of Sharif brothers during 1980ies. MotorwayScandal, Yellowcabs, Now Laptop scheme which is the most corrupt & mindless scheme. Instead of creating 30000 IT Expert by seting up IT centers and having students become certified IT professions by examination arrangements with Microsoft, and Oracle, they spent billions on distributing Laptops. During last PMLN govt, presidential ordinances were issued for weeks to let Sharif factories imports into Pakistan, and billions of loss done to national exchequre. Sharif brothers looted this country as noone had ever did.
