Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani on Tuesday said foreign elements were involved in the deteriorating law and order in Balochistan.
A meeting of PCNS was held at the Parliament House headed by Rabbani that took up the law and order and missing persons issue in Balochistan. The Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) DG, Frontier Constabulary (FC) DG, Balochistan home secretary and other high-ranking officials briefed the committee about the current situation in Balochistan regarding law and order and missing persons. Rabbani said concerned authorities had briefed the committee comprehensively and the committee would form its recommendations and send it to the government. He said the committee was informed about the numbers of missing persons but he could not reveal the names as he was bound to the rules of business.
Rabbani said the committee would review some articles of the Evidence Act and laws against terrorism in the next sitting.
The committee chairman said Interior Secretary Khawaja Siddiq Akbar came late to the session and could not attend the meeting because proceedings were in-camera. He said he came to know that Senator Ishaq Dar was busy in Lahore and he could also not attend the meeting.
Earlier, FC Inspector General Major General Nadir Zaib told newsmen that he had told the committee about the recommendations through which law and order could be improved and “its up to the government whether they work on his recommendations or not”. He said the FC did not have missing persons with them and most of the missing persons had gone to Afghanistan. He alleged that many militant groups were active in Balochistan and got aid from foreign elements. Sources said the home secretary comprehensively briefed the committee that training camps of Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) were running in Afghanistan and the FC was deployed in Balochistan to protect 80 percent of government asset.

  1. If "foreign hand" has a name then say it , so these countries will feel the heat diplomaticaly and through media which will help our securty agencies to control them.

  2. Ah…the famous "foreign hand!
Is that why the Balochistan sector ISI chief has repeatedly done a no show when summoned by the Supreme Court.? Is that why the Surpeme Court judges wish to question the FC IG about the kidnappings and the 'kill and dump' activities.

Pourquoi????

  4. When the government has no political will to solve a political problem then they come out with the theory of involvement of a 'foreign hand'.
Let me remind that Balochis are fighting for their rights and they could not be defeated.
I would also like to remind Mister Rabbani what he thinks about an ethnic party of Karachi whose leader is living in London and his party is in the coaltion government is widely believed to be supported by a foreign country. Is Mister Rabbani not perturbed by frequest visits of diplomats from two important western superpowers to Mr Altaf Hussain. Why are these governments so much interested in no one else but Mister Altaf Hussain knowing that he is a master blackmailer and is working like a mafiosi. Why????
