Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani was trying to save President Asif Zardari’s “looted money”.
Addressing a public gathering in Gari Khero to mark another demonstration against the government, the PML-N chief said, “I have not come here to ask for votes, I am just here to meet you people,” Nawaz said, adding that he had always been respected within Sindh during each and every visit.
“I have no personal enmity with Gilani, nor do I have anything against the PPP,” Nawaz said, also claiming that he had supported the PPP unconditionally after the demise of Benazir Bhutto. “Gilani refuses to write the letter to the Swiss authorities, Zardari does not want that Rs 550 million to come back, the court and the PML-N want the money back and be spent on the people of Pakistan, this is the only feud between the government and the PML-N,” Nawaz said. He said no PPP member would write the letter to the Swiss authorities. “Now if Gilani quits the office, some other PPP member would make his way as the new premier, will he write the letter to the Swiss authorities? Definitely not, he would also be pressurized; the main culprit is Zardari is this entire scenario”. Nawaz said the PPP had been in the government four times and yet they had done nothing notable for the people of Pakistan.

  1. Can nawaz explain the source of his wealth? We all know that zardari is corrupt. We also know now that gillani is more corrupt than zardari. However, nawaz sharif is not far behind. Years ago they stole two of our servants to work in their house. Since then they have gone on to stealing nations money. A truely noble family would never stoop this low. These people are born theives.
