Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah has said that if Muslim League launches long march against government, he would lead a march to Lahore.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Shah said that election-scared Nawaz Sharif always managed to come to power riding on the shoulders of people like Farooq Leghari and Ghulam Ishaq Khan.
He is now searching for some such way, he added. A trailer of a massive public meeting would be seen at Kamoon Shaheed on May 12, he said adding that anti-PP rallies have also made government more popular because anti-democracy elements are taking out such rallies.
If Nawaz Sharif believes in electoral politics he should wait till January, he added.
Answering a question about Lyari, Shah said that a commission would be formed to investigate it and to understand its reasons. A compensation of Rs 500,000 would be paid to the heirs of the people killed during the operation while those who got wounded would be paid Rs 200,000. The volume of financial losses would also be investigated, he added.
