Efforts underway to end pollution, ward off dengue threat: Mansha

Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Food and Environment Manshaullah Butt has said the Punjab Environment Protection Department will continue its efforts to eradicate environmental pollution from the province.
Talking to APP on Monday, he reiterated that the EPD was working on various projects for the improvement of the environment in the Punjab province.
He said: “We are doing our best to address the threat of dengue. The EPD staff is checking plant nurseries, junkyards and tyre shops in the city for mosquito larvae.”
To a question, he said the World Environment Day on June 5th will be celebrated at all levels. Seminars, walks and other activities will be a part of the international day’s celebrations, he added.
