Prolonged and unscheduled loadshedding due to gap between generation and consumption has adversely affected the routine life, business activities and industrial sector.
According to details, electricity shortfall has reached 7252MW, the highest figure during the current years.
Due to shortfall urban areas have to face 10 to 14 hours loadshedding while rural areas witness 20 to 22 hours power outage daily.
The citizens have expressed grave concern over the power supply situation saying they were deprived of the electricity most of the times during 24 hours which has disturbed their routine life.
Industrialists, businessmen and traders were of the view that power outage has badly affected their work.
Meanwhile, students have also criticized the poor performance of WAPDA saying they were facing problems in routine studies and preparation for exams as well.
According to PEPCO sources, power shortfall was 6000MW but independent sources claim that at day time shortfall climbs above 7000MW figure as consumption increases due to surge in temperature.
PEPCO spokesman said that decrease in water reservoirs and halt in provision of fuel to power plants was a major cause in reduction in power generation.
Water level in Tarbela Dam has touched the dead level, the PEPCO spokesperson said.
iss ka hal kia or kab tak ho ga ye koi bata sakta hai ? ? ?
i am wounder why the govt is not commenting/ responding on this issue. lights hardly comes for 2 hrs and 03 hrs load shedding this is the schedule for the last 2 days
Dear Ali, You are lucky that your light comes for 02 hours after 03 Hours loadshedding; ours light comes for just 01 hour in every 08 hours, meaning we are just having 03 hours light in a day & paying bill at its highest level. This is miserable. God knows better what will happen next…!
Welcome to stone age.
That idiot Dr. Asim said that come summer, the water level will rise in Tarbela. Well, as it turns out, the stupid Dr. doesnt realise that things dont happen by themselves…
Dun t when would a common man realise that these ppl give a damn about our problems..they are just busy filling their overseas accounts and making new and unique excuses to present to the public.if they had been serious in curbing the energy crisis they would have atleast built 2 3 smaller dams and conducted serious biliteral talks with Indian authorities regarding water distribution instead of promoting that fake aman ki asha which is going to benefit only indians in the end…we must realise that this govt was installed in power with a very clear agenda ie make pakistan the weakest state in asia economically, socially and culturally and as their term is nearing the end we can see the results for ourselves…don t know when would we wake up,
The shortfall was the same before ramadan, but the govt. paid the bills for fuel/oil to elec. generation com. for some time. Now as we expected even more improvement in the Holy Month, Suddenly, the govt. stopped paying fuel bills to Generation Companies for the month of Ramadan and the result is we have 22 hours of loadsheding in rural areas. Thank you Mr. President and your Cabinet of Die hard loyalists, This nation will remember you in the prayers.
Why dont people get rid of this government. They must invade president house, P.M house and houses of ministers and MNAs and hang them publically. These people are criminal and deserve wrath of public. Do something people otherwise you will keep on suffering. You must take law into your own hand otherwise no one will rescue you. These rulers are bent upon destroying you. You must destroy them before they eliminate you.
