Pakistan would participate in the NATO Summit Conference, which would discuss future of Afghanistan, despite of USA’s decision to speed up the drone attacks in the tribal belt of Pakistan.
The moot would be held at Chicago, USA, from May 20 and President Asif Ali Zardari along with a delegation would attend it.
Sources said although the relations between Pakistan and US were going cold these days, Pakistan would take part in the summit on special invitation of American President Barack Obama. India has also been invited to the conference.
The sources said that it was decided that the country would partake in the summit in the recent meeting of “trioka”. First the president instructed Prime Minister Gilani to represent the country in the moot, but due to delay in the detailed judgment in the contempt case against the prime minister, Zardari had decided to attend the meeting himself.
