The All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference (AJKMC), UK, has assured full support to the activities of Kashmir Centre London.
A three-member delegation of AJKMC, UK, led by its Vice President, Jameel Tabassum, visited Kashmir Centre London. Other members of the delegation were Sardar Arshad Khan and Raja Mohammed Eshaq Khan, KMS reported.
The delegation had an exclusive meeting with the Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl, President, Advisory Council, Raja Mohammed Ayub and members of the Advisory Council, Shoaib Akber Nazish, and Raja Saroop Khan. The meeting thoroughly discussed the latest situation of occupied Kashmir.
It was observed that India was not providing the desirable space to the political leadership and was creating impediments by arresting them or confining them to their residences. The recent arrest of the Hurriyet leaders was condemned in the meeting. The participants of the meeting appreciated the gesture of Amnesty International to raise voice for revocation of draconian laws like Public Safety Act (PSA).
They also hailed the engagements between Pakistan and India but stressed the need to make it inclusive by involving genuine leadership of the Kashmiris with the process.
