Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that Nawaz Sharif should explain to nation his NRO with Musharraf, which he signed for leaving the country.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, Kaira said Nawaz Sharif was sent to Jeddah after punishment by the court, whic had been endorsed by twelve judges of the Supreme Court. He said later Nawaz Sharif signed an NRO with a dictator, and left the country.
He said Nawaz Sharif should also bring that NRO along with its conditions, before the nation. Qamar Zaman Kaira said that Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had also signed an NRO with Musharraf when his family attained house arrest facility for him.
Kaira said PML-N considers that their leaders can interpret the Constitution better than other parties. He pointed out if no one is following PML-N stance, it means there is mistake in their stance; therefore, they should correct their stance.
He said “appeal against SC’s verdict is our right and we should be allowed to file an appeal”. “We will take the decision democratically and constitutionally”, he added.
The Information Minister said “we have got rid of a dictator, flourished democracy and weakened terrorism in our five-year term”. He said “we served the country during calamities, re-employed thousands of people, and gave identity to Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakhtuns.”
He said PPP ensured rights to the people of Balochistan and started Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan programme. He said “we have taken Pakistan out of isolation in the international community.”
He urged Nawaz Sharif to explain billions of rupees spent lavishly in the name of Sasti Roti, Danish Schools and laptops. He said PPP will not allow Nawaz Sharif and his party to go back to the politics of eighties and nineties and will pull them to politics of 2012.
Sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs not to go waste: JKLF: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) in occupied Kashmir has said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will not be allowed to go waste and their mission will be accomplished at all costs. The JKLF Acting Chairman, Bashir Ahmad Butt, in a statement in Srinagar paid glowing tributes to advocate Iftikhar Ahmad on his martyrdom anniversary, Kashmir Media Service reported.
He said over hundred thousand Kashmiri people had offered the supreme sacrifice of their lives for freedom of their homeland. Meanwhile, the JKLF has expressed grief over the demise of the mother of pro-freedom activists, Muhammad Afzal Mir and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir, of Trehgam, Kupwara.
