From concrete silos to urology hospitals, Punjab govt approves 5 uplift schemes

The Punjab government has approved five development schemes which will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 7996.324 million in the province. The approval was given in the 39th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) presided over by Planning and Development Board Chairman Javaid Aslam. The approved schemes include construction of concrete silos of 30,000 metric ton capacity at Mana Ahmadani, DG Khan at a cost of Rs 926.993 million, establishment of Institute of Urology and Transplantation in Rawalpindi at a cost of Rs 3334.468 million, construction of Lahore Ring Road from Khaira distributary to Ferozepur Road, under package-17, at a cost of Rs 259.974 million; rehabilitation of emergency services in major cities of Punjab at a cost of Rs 396 million and construction of BRTS from MAO college to Bhaati Chowk (elevated) length 2.1 km (package-IV) at a cost of Rs 3078.889 million. Members of the P&D Board and representatives of the Finance, Environment, Food, Health, Communication and Works, Home and Transport departments also attended the meeting.
