Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Sunday said that early elections were not the solution to the country’s problems. Talking to a private news channel, Shujaat said that only the masses could resolve the current crisis through vote power, however, general elections would be held according to schedule in March, 2013. He said the fifth budget would also be presented by the coalition government. Referring to opposition’s position, he said the PML-Nawaz should adopt a logical approach towards national issues, including the creation of new provinces. Shujaat also urged the federal government to table a resolution regarding creation of Hazara province. The PML-Q chief said he did not consider the prime minister as a convicted person until a decision is made on his appeal. He said the prime minister had the right to appeal. Replying to a question, Shujaat said it made no difference whether Nawaz Sharif accepted the prime minister or not. Shujaat said the Sharif brothers had committed contempt of court because they themselves were involved in defaming the judiciary by storming the Supreme Court in past.
