Eminent Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadir Khan on Saturday said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has soft corner for the masses and is doing good job in Punjab.
Addressing a ceremony at the foundation stone of AQ Khan Hospital on Ravi Road, he said if someone sneezed in any part of the province, the Opposition started blaming and criticising Shahbaz which was not fair.
Khan maintained that Shahbaz was working wholeheartedly for the welfare of the people of Punjab.
Khan said former Prime Minister (late) Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had not sent him an invitation to come to Pakistan, rather, “I myself wrote a letter to ZAB”. He added that he was lucky that he was called while he was in Pakistan.
“So, I came to Pakistan at my own will to serve the country,” Khan said, adding, “I had good relations with politicians, civil and army officers.
The total cost for the construction of AQ Khan Hospital is Rs 50 million. The officials of Rehman Foundation and large number of people were present on the occasion.
