Pakistan Post Saturday issued a commemorative postage stamp of Rs. 8/- denomination, on the occasion of 50th anniversary of state visit of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand to Pakistan. The size of stamp is 50.5 x 35 mm and the design of the stamps is developed by Adil Salahuddin (Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Pride of performance. The stamp was un-veiled by Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan Marwin Tan-Attanawin, who was chief guest at the function arranged by Pakistan Post to commemorate the state visit of King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Queen Sirikit of Thailand to Pakistan (1962-2012). Director General Pakistan Post Syed Ghulam Panjtan Rizvi presided over the function. Additional Director General of Pakistan (Operations) Fazli Sattar Khan also present on the occasion. Director General Pakistan Post talking to media on the occasion said that the purpose of bringing out this stamp is to honour the deep-rooted friendly relations between Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Thailand. Marwin Tan-Attanawin, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, expressed pleasure to the Pakistan Post for the launching ceremony of the postage stamp. He added that Pakistan and Thailand is enjoying very cordial and testified relations. Additional Director General Pakistan Post Fazli Sattar Khan said that the function will be proved a land mark in enhancing the Pakistan relations which are already very cordial between two countries. Senior officials of Pakistan Post, Ministry f Foreign Affairs and Thailand Embassy also participated in the function.
