DCO inspects under-construction roads, ensures timely completion

Lahore District Coordination Officer Noor-ul-Amin Mengal visited the Shahrah-e-Aiwan-e-Tijarat, Allama Iqbal Road and Circular Road on Saturday and inspected the pace of development on these roads.
The DCO directed that the roads be constructed as early as possible and said no compromise will be made on the standard of the construction materials used.
He said while the Shahrah-e-Aiwan-e-Tijarat was being constructed; only one side of the road will be closed to allow the traffic to move smoothly.
He directed the contractor to complete the construction work by 15th May.
Later, he visited the Allama Iqbal Road and inspected the construction work.
He said the Allama Iqbal Road is an important artery and that its completion is a priority.
Mengal also inspected the sewerage system at the road and directed the authorities concerned to complete the work by 31st May, adding that further delay will not be tolerated.
He said funds have been released for the construction of roads and that the CDGL prioritises the provision of facilities to the citizens.
The DCO also visited the Circular Road.
Officials from the NLC, WASA and district administration also accompanied the DCO.
DCO Mengal also issued directions for the registration of two cases against marriage hall owners in Allama Iqbal Town and Shalimar Town for violating the timings set for the operation of these halls.
One person was also apprehended at Shalimar Town.
The DCO said instructions have already been issued to the TMOs and TOs to ensure adherence to the timings of the marriage halls and serving one dish at wedding ceremonies.
