Behbud Cafe’s formal inauguration was organised on Saturday in federal capital to treat food-lovers with a variety of flavours and contributing some of their share to run noble projects of Behbud Association.
The iauguration event was followed by the ribbon-cutting by its three chairpersons, working delicately for its different welfare projects in vocational training, education and health sector for the underprivileged communities of society. The cafe treats youngsters and even grown-ups with a variety of flavours, ranging from tempting desserts to delicious treats to juices.
The event was attended by nearly all its volunteer members, media representatives, businessmen, socialites and humanitarians, working for less fortunate communities. Caf‚ at Super Market, F-6, Islamabad is the latest addition to the roster of coffee parlous, at Kohsar Market, which provides such variety of treats with quality.
Apart from menu, the ambiance, is very refreshing facing to Margallah Hills with large glass walls and black furniture in the dreamy hue of yellow lights, candles and fresh flowers to add its freshness.
“It’s not the typical cafe menu that other places offer. It has a little bit of everything, as the menu consists of a variety of different things” said Tahira Paracha, one of its chairperson.
She informed that the purpose of arranging this event was to raise the awareness among people about Behbud Association – a non-profit, volunteer-run organization and selfless services of its members. “Behbud association provides a variety of services for low income groups, regardless of religion or gender” she added. Tahira Paracha said it has projects in the health, education, vocational and skill training, family planning industrial homes to teach craft skills to women for income generation, interest-free credit for productive uses stipends and scholarships to talented students financial help to widows and orphans and also assists in emergencies such as floods and earthquakes.
She further said that Behbud Association Rawalpindi is also working to provide the rural poor men and women training, in various vocational skills such as plumbing, electronics, tailoring, computers applications, carpentry, auto mechanic and mason training for their economic uplift.
“The formal launch of this Cafe has brought a message of hope for deprived people for which we were working for last 45 years, as the revenue generated by cafe would be utilized to run our these welfare projects”, she said.
