Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Thursday the government believes in the supremacy of constitution and would not accept the verdict of ‘Sharif Courts’.
Talking to media persons outside Parliament House he said, the government would accept the verdict of Apex Court and not the Sharif Courts.

Castigating the undemocratic attitude of PML –N. he said the opposition was trying to vitiate the atmosphere of the Parliament. PML-N was on undue hurry they should at least wait for the final verdict of the Supreme Court, he observed.
Kaira advised the parliamentarians of the PML-N to observe parliamentary norms to set an example for other sections of the society.
“If the parliamentarians start observing code of ethics, then we would be able to advise others also,” kaira said in reply to a question whether there was any code of conduct for television talk shows.
Amidst sloganeering by the opposition members, Kaira said the PML-N that claims to be champion of the democracy and rule of law should also observe the decorum of the parliament. “Besides judiciary, respecting the parliament is also essential for strengthening the democracy,” Kaira commented, adding that some former judges and chief justice of the Supreme Court comment on the sub-judice issues on talk shows. He said being seniors, they have influence on the sitting judges, so their comment in talk show is tantamount to influencing the judiciary,” the information minister commented. He asked the opposition members to withdraw their business if they were disinterested in the parliamentary proceedings as the session incurred huge expenditures on public exchequer. He also criticized the Opposition Leader Ch Nisar sitting on back benches when his party members were protesting against the government. He commented that the course of such uproar is adopted when one finds him unable to defend the case through arguments.
