Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has included 120 drugs manufacturing companies in ephedrine quota case.
According to sources, ANF on Friday issued notices to 120 medicines companies regarding ephedrine usage in drugs. The sources further said that companies have been asked to provide details of ephedrine quantity used in manufacturing cough syrups and nasal drops during the past three years.
ANF would interrogate the production and quality managers of 120 drugs companies to find out the overall amount of ephedrine used so as to ensure that the drug was not being misused.
