Two alleged robbers were killed near Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi in North Nazimabad in an encounter on Wednesday, police said. Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police said that three armed bandits were looting a milk shop located in the Maria Apartments building when a police team arrived at the scene. The three armed robbers opened indiscriminate fire at the law enforcers and in the ensuing gunfight, two bandits were shot dead while the third managed to escape, police said. The owner of the milk shop also suffered bullet wounds during the exchange of fire between the bandits and the police team. The bodies of the alleged robbers were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
The deceased were identified as Irfan, son of Islam, and Sohail, son of Yousuf. The police have impounded the motorcycle (KDO-3556) used by the bandits during the robbery attempt.
All the policemen were busy in saving a milk shop so five banks of NBP were ooted in the meantime.
