The PML-N, during Thursday Senate session, said that after being declared guilty by Supreme Court, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani was no more a valid prime minister.
“The short notice of Supreme Court of Pakistan, in contempt of Court case has been released, and according to constitution, he is no longer a valid PM, nor is his Cabinet valid”, retorted PML-N’s Sajid Mir.
Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira tried to respond to the issue, but was resisted by PML-N senators, who refused to accept Kaira’s answer, since they considered him, along with the rest of cabinet as redundant.
Afterwards, the PML-N Senators staged a walkout from Senate proceedings, as a mark of protest.
