Security tightened on Osama’s death anniversary

Security across the country, especially in sensitive cities, was put on red alert in the wake of the first death anniversary of slain Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.
It should be mentioned that security agencies have warned that militants could attack public places or sensitive installations to avenge the assassination of Osama Bin Laden in US special forces operation in Abbottabad one year ago.
The security agencies had been ordered to be “extra vigilant” to keep watch on terrorists. Besides putting security on high alert, the security personnel were directed to be very careful since was an important day.
The US and western embassies in Islamabad issued warnings, advising citizens to avoid public places for fear of attack.
