The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday announced that it would launch nationwide protest rallies and later on a long march to remove Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani from his position, a private TV channel reported.
Announcing its schedule of protests to remove Gilani, the PML-N said that rallies would be held in Taxila on May 4, in Gujranwala on May 7, in Bahawalpur and Sargodha on May 8 and in Gilani’s hometown Multan on May 10.
The party, however, did not give a date for the commencement of the long march which is expected to be organised after the issuance of Supreme Court’s detailed verdict in the contempt of court case against PM Gilani.
In order to include other political groups and civil society in its movement, the PML-N has formed a committee comprising of Zulfikar Khosa, Chaudhry Nisar and Saad Rafique.
Moreover, Ghous Ali Shah has been delegated the responsibility of contacting nationalist groups in Sindh for this purpose.

  1. PML-N has no credibility any more. Any moment, they may declare in the larger interest of the nation to defer this protest for some other date, go back to their cozy dens in Raiwind.

Four years, they have been fooled by Zardari & Co and in turn they try to fool the common people by their shallow rhetoric.

  2. They can do it only in Punjab, where they rule, and its indirectly by the Punjab government. They can gather some crown by using official sources and persenells. I doubt, if they could gather a mere 1000 people in Karachi.

  3. Sorry no time to waste in your so called "rallies".

  4. The PML-N has missed so many chances to be a credible opposition that no one believes it any more.

  5. Election is very close so it is right time for friendly opposition to act as foe. Where they were sleeping when railway PIA and WAPDA were being destroyed. Common man was crying in the streets against load shedding and there was no opposition party to back him. Carry on this drama you can get "NIGAR" award and not premiership.
