Fehmida will obviously follow PM’s directives: Nawaz

PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has said that Speaker Fehmida Mirza will obviously follow directives of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Expressing his little trust in Speaker Fehmida’s partiality in her decision regarding the future legibility of the prime minister, during an interview with a private TV channel, Nawaz Sharif said that Yousaf Raza Gilani was tarnishing the image of constitution, Parliament and his office.
“There has never been any impartial speaker in the history of Pakistan”, Nawaz Sharif said, adding that it was unreal to pin any positive expectations of Speaker in delivering an impartial and fair decision.
“All this is happening on the instructions of President Zardari”, he accused and stressed that the PM should proceed forward in accordance with constitution and law.
“I have no personal enmity with PM, Gilani” he expressed, reminding that PML-N had indeed given him, Yousaf Raza Gilani, vote of confidence, but now after the fresh verdict of Supreme Court declaring him guilty, PML-N no longer accepted Gilani as Prime Minister.”
“If Gilani does resign and puts forth an appeal, while PPP brings forward a new premier, PML-N would have (had) no objections” he assured.
Answering a question regarding the possibility of PML-N parliamentarians’ resignations, he said that this would be tantamount to deviation from mandate of masses, who had voted PML-N to lead opposition in Parliament.
“How could have amendments been approved and implemented, if PML-N had resigned after the NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) “, he questioned, adding that “sitting in Assemblies helped resist all wrong moves of the government”.
He also demanded an independent, transparent Election Commission for the next general elections.
“No elections could ever be fair under the chair of President Asif Ali Zardari,” he vouched.
