Death revisits Raymond Davis victim’s house

Father-in-law of Faizan, who was killed by CIA spy Raymond Davis last year, gunned down his daughter and wife at their residence over domestic dispute in the Township police limits on Monday noon.
Police have removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy but no case was registered till the filing of this report. The accused person is also at large.
The deceased women were identified as Zohra, the wife of Faizan and his mother-in-law, Nabila, residents of 51-B-I Johar Town. A police officer has claimed that the women were murdered by Faizan’s father-in-law Shahzad Butt over the issue of second marriage of Zohra. A minor son has survived Zohra.
He added that the family had been quarrelling over the same issue for the last many months. The domestic dispute turned violent on Monday after which Shahzad opened fire at his wife in the presence of his five daughters. Zohra tried to escape from the scene but the accused followed her and killed her in the street. After killing both the women, the accused managed to flee from the scene.
Locals of the area after hearing bullet shots informed the police at Rescue 15 after which local police and Rescue 1122 reached the scene immediately. A rescue official said both women were found dead in a pool of blood. He added that forensic experts of Lahore Police had collected forensic evidence from the crime scene.
The police also cordoned off the area and started search and investigation for hunting the accused person. Locals said Faizan’s family had shifted to Johar Town recently after he was killed by Davis on Jan 27, 2011 at Mozang Chungi.
Sub-inspector, Iqbal, of Township Police said Faizan’s mother-in-law wanted to marry Zohra to a man settled in Dubai but the father did not agree to the marriage.
The daughters of accused person have also recorded their statements before the police that their father had killed their mother and a sister.
SP Operations Athar Waheed said it had been initially confirmed that the women had been killed by Shahzad Butt but no case had been registered yet. The police was conducting raid for the arrest of the accused.
