Muhajir Qaumi Movement chairman Afaq Ahmed said on Tuesday that if Liyari operation would not be prevented at once, it would have terrible outcome.
He said that the PPP-led government started Liyari operation on the wish of their ally Muttahida, which used to collect hefty extortion money.
“I never opposed any operation against criminals whether they belong to any political and religious party. I am afraid that the present terrorists from Mutahida along with police officials would instigate the ethnic riots in Karachi as Muttahida wants to grab Liyari for collecting protection money”, he added.
He said the distribution of arms among the people of Lyari under the cover of police force unveiled conspiracy, which the allied partners were playing . But now people would not become the part of any dirty game.
He said his party fully supports the stance taken by Rangers that operation against culprits should be held without any discrimination in all troubled areas.
