Pakistan’s tennis sensation and Davis Cupper Samir Iftikhar demolished Nicholas Hunter as University of New Mexico Lobos Team avenged their last month’s 3-4 defeat in style by upsetting Number 2 Seeds Sandeigo Aztecs on their home ground at the NCAA Mountain West Conference Tournament being held at Tennis Center of San Diego, California. UNM Moral after winning first point in doubles was boosted with Samir’s 2-0 win that saw demolished Nicholas Hunter 6/4 6/0 in little more than an hour. The Sandeigo Aztec gave strong resistance in the first set with long baseline dual and held serves till 4 all and fighter Samir saved 2 break points to go ahead 5/4 and broke Hunter with display of magnificent passing shots to win the first set 6/4 and the 2nd set 6/0 Displaying flawless Tennis. The New Mexcico will face Number one Seed Boise State and will have to bring out every thing out of Armour to avenge a close defeat last month. Samir in exclusive interview with this correspondent said: “I played really well and it was a great Team effort and our Coach had Mr Alan Dalis had devised a pre match plan and we followed it through and came vicarious. “ I am Looking forward for tomorrows Match and We will go all out to upset top seeds s whom we lost in a very close match last month.”
