We’ve watched Kristen Stewart transform from good-girl-gone-vamp to butt-kicking Snow White. So, what’s up next for the Twilight starlet? A gritty action flick called ‘Cali’, in which the 22-year-old actress will play a young woman from the San Fernando Valley who has a “penchant for bad choices and dangerous behaviour,” according to Variety. In the film, written and directed by Michael Diliberti of ‘30 Minutes or Less’ fame, con artist lovebirds Mya (Stewart) and Chris make a mad dash out of state after selling a fake snuff film-featuring the not-actually-dead Mya-for a ton of cash. While the duo gets away with the con at first, trouble begins when they must return to California to save Mya’s younger sister from a variety of villains, including “homicidal stars’ and ‘stoner vet techs’. “Kristen is a talented and dynamic actor, with a proven box office draw,” producer Craig J. Flores said. “Her role in ‘Cali’ will be edgy. It will no doubt push the envelope on the public’s view of Kristen’s wide-ranging abilities. We are thrilled to have her as a partner on this fantastic film.” Filming on the project is expected to begin this summer, and Stewart is expected to produce as well.
