The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday issued notices to National Command Authority (NCA) Director Khalid Ahmad Qidwai, National Engineering & Scientific Commission (NESCOM) Chairman Muhammad Irfan Burney and others on a contempt plea for violating the stay orders on contract employments.
A single member bench comprising Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan resumed hearing of a petition seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against Director NCA, Chairman the National Engineering & Scientific Commission ( Nescom) and its Deputy DG filed by four General Managers of Nescom.
During the proceedings, counsel for the petitioners apprised the bench that the respondents in utter violation of the court orders extended the contract of Ghulam Asghar, NESCOM director general, on April 1, 2012, after the March 30 court orders were properly conveyed to them. After hearing the arguments court issued notices to the respondents.
