A building temporarily being used as a girls’ primary school was blown up by militants in Landikotal on Friday.
According to sources in the political administration of Khyber Agency, militants planted explosive in the girls’ primary school building located in Sheikh Malkhel area of Landikotal and blew it up at around 2am.
The building comprising four classrooms, a hall and boundary wall was completely destroyed after the blast, the sources said.
Around 75 schools, mostly girls’ primary schools have been destroyed so far by the militants in Khyber Agency, among them 25 institutions in Landikotal alone.
