Cats out of the bag

Rehman Malik’s press conference revealing 32 billion of Sharif’s money adds to the already existing kitty of national plunder. Right or wrong, we do not know yet, just as we do not have a faint idea of the previous loots. The cats are coming out of the bag and this is heartening to note. Elections are still a few months away and rockets are being fired from both sides. Lyari rockets seem less scary now. However, one thing that remains unexplained from Rehman Malik’s statement is why he had to wait for four plus years to come up with this astounding explanation. Is it the SC verdict that triggered it? Or is it that Sharifs took a hostile viewpoint at the verdict? Or is it that Zardari and Gilani have been insulted? Whatever is the cause, the truths are coming out in instalments. Come to think of it, it is the Pakistanis and Pakistan, which have been plundered by these ‘great’ politicians. Both considered Pakistan as an estate of their ancestors bestowed to them at the time of their departure.
