Scrutiny for allotment of labour colony flats started

DCO Noorul Amin Mengal has said the verification of the documents of successful candidates for the allotment of 1,296 flats in Labour Colony, Defense Road has started.
The DCO said in a meeting on Friday that 20 special teams were constituted to complete the verification process within two days and submit its report to the DCO’s office on April 29th.
The DCO said the verification process should be transparent and fast.
Each team, comprising two officials from the Labour department and one each from the Revenue department and Akhuwat Foundation, an NGO, will perform its duty under the supervision of a Grade 17 officer.
He said these teams would verify the identity cards, service and marriage certificates and other documents of successful labourers and industrial workers.
ADC Nadir Chattha, the assistant commissioners and other officers attended the meeting.
