Riphah constitutes Shariah advisory board

The Riphah International University has constituted a Shariah advisory board to make recommendations for including teachings of the Quran and Sunna in its syllabus as well as curricular and co-curricular activities while imparting standard professional education. The board consists of renowned Islamic scholars representing different schools of thought, educationists and professionals.
The board held its first meeting at the main campus of the university in I-14 Sector Islamabad on Friday. Prominent ulema and educationists from across the country, including Director General Shariah Academy of International Islamic University Dr Tahir Manoori, leader of the Jamiat Ahle Hadees, Maulana Abdul Aziz Hanif, Mohtamim, Jamia Imdadia, Faisalabad, Mufti Muhammad Zahid, Maulana Shams-ul-Haq from Khyber Pakhtunkhua (KPK), leader of Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen, Allama Amin Shaheedi, and principal, Quaid-e-Azam Commerce College, Peshawar University, Prof Muhammad Abbas, attended the meeting. The board meeting was also attended by senior faculty members and officials of Riphah International University.
