Leading scientist Dr. Shaukat Hameed joins PTI

Former Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute Rector and former member of the Planning Commission of Pakistan Dr. Shaukat Hameed Khan has joined Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The premier scientist announced his joining after meeting with Chairman PTI Imran Khan in Islamabad.
Dr. Shaukat worked for a long time in Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission and rose to become its chief scientist. A Rhodes Scholar, he is also a member of the Pakistan Academy of Sciences.
PTI chief Imran Khan, while welcoming the scientist, said that eminent people like Dr Shaukat joining the party was an indication of change.
“It gives further indication that people of Pakistan are looking towards PTI as a party of change that will bring the country out of the difficult situation it finds itself in.

  3. A gem of a person and an wonderful administrator!! I still remember that night in the 7th semester when I was strolling in GIKI during mids and he asked to accompany him all the way back to his residence while we discussed his future plans for GIKI. I never had such a personal experience with any faculty member again. truely a nice addition in PTI's inventory.

  5. ^Who made that rule? Get real. Every single person has a right to be in politics. It is a really good sign for Pakistani politics. Imran Khan has kind of given us a really good political platform. Where the political party is not run by a family. But by its members.

  6. and what is the qualification of Imran Khan…that we won world cup and used all the money collected by the team to build hospital that is run by him and his family members..
