A delegation of Islamabad District Bar Association, led by its president, Syed Javed Akbar Shah, visited the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) to discuss the matters of mutual interest.
Speaking on the occasion, ICCI President Yasir Sakhi Butt appreciated the efforts of the Islamabad Bar Association in making useful suggestions and proposals on different aspects of the proposed laws, advocating the rule of law, administration of justice in the country and contributing significantly to maintaining a healthy relationship between the bench and the bar.
The ICCI president was of the view that businessmen were facing a tough time due to multiple factors like acute energy crisis, law and order problems, high cost of doing business etc. He sought support from the Islamabad Bar Association in advocacy campaigns to address the key issues of trade and industry and create an enabling environment for the growth of business activities.
He highlighted the problems of F-8 Markaz and said that the Islamabad Bar should join hands with the ICCI to launch a joint campaign for making this area neat and clean to promote a healthy environment in this important sector of the federal capital.
Yasir Sakhi Butt said that the Islamabad District Bar Association should extend its support for early enactment of a balanced rent control law.
District Bar Association Islamabad President Syed Javaid Akbar Shah assured full support of lawyers for solving the problems of businessmen and traders of the capital. He said that his team would play an effective role in resolving the issues of judicial fraternity and provide justice to the public as they had reposed great confidence in the judiciary.
