Vehicle snatchers’ gang busted

Taxila police have busted an inter-provincial gang involved in vehicle snatching at gunpoint after intoxicating drivers, kidnapping and other crimes and recovered four stolen vehicles, one motorcycle and illegal weapons from their possession. According to police spokesman, Taxila police on the special instruction of City Police Officer (CPO) Azhar Hameed Khokhar, constituted a special team under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent Police (DSP) Raja Taifoor which busted the gang comprising ring leader Muhammad Fayyaz alias Hafiz resident of Wah Cantt, Tauseef Abbas resident of Wah Cantt, Zahid son of Orangzaib resident of Attock and Amanat son of Muhammad Saddique resident of Attock. Police recovered four vehicles, one motorcycle from them which were snatched at gun point while one kalashnkov, three pistols and 22 rounds were also recovered from them after preliminary investigation.
