Transparent probe of Bhoja air crash, mandatory: PM

Declaring Bhoja Air crash a National tragedy, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that transparent investigations of the accident were mandatory.
Addressing the National Assembly session, he welcomed opposition’s approach to investigations, reminding that rescue operations were concluded within 12 hours.
Expressing his deep grief and sadness over the horrifying accident, he said that such a debate would rather embarrass Federation globally.
He disclosed that during the accident, the defense secretary was present with him (PM), and he (PM) enquired about international regulations over the issue: over which the defense secretary impressed the fact that air crashes were global phenomena.
PM said that he personally went to PIMS to monitor recovery of dead bodies, and said that he had no objections over any kind of commission (even) formed by opposition.
